The new 2012 Honda Accord is out and already it's won three prestigious awards. J.D. Power and Associates have given the 2012 Accord their 2011 Initial Quality Award within the midsize segment. Car and Driver magazine has listed the new Accord on their "10-Best" list (for the 25^th time). And, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has given the sedan a perfect five-star crash-test rating.

Once upon a time there was a man from Norway Maine named "Million-Mile" Joe. In 1966, he bought a used Honda Accord with 76,000 miles on it. He drove the car approximately 4,700 miles per month, averaging per quarter about what the average American driver does per year (13,500). He drove the car a million miles...maybe more.

Seven vehicles on the top-ten list of best-selling cars for March 2011 sold more than 30,000 units. Only three accomplished that volume in January and February. Needless to say, nearly all automakers are on an upswing. However, the list also shows significant gains in the midsize category, with Honda, coming in as the number-two best-seller with their award-winning Accord.
